The purpose of the foundation is to enable the doctors to solicit public support to futher academic research, host or attend educational conferences with for other professionals in this field and share their findings and reseach. Historically, funding has been derived from numberous donors including pharmaceutical companies who have varied over the years. Only recently has one pharmaceutical company provided a substantial amount of annual program funding. Going forward, the foundation is looking to diversify its funding base from public support and public programs and offer more programs that will require more diverse revenue streams.
