We are exempt under the mutual benefit theory. The club sponsored/led 5 major ski trips. The club arranged hotel lodging, meals and social activities for its members. Income received from members for trip sign-up was used to pay for trip expenses incurred during the trip. The club sponsored 2 formal social events (a Spring into Summer annual meeting with approx. 50 attending and a Membership Party with over 40 attending). We also coordinated over 100 informal social events for club members during the summer and fall season. The club maintains a website, Meet-up site and Facebook page to promote year round social activities and member communications. Our ski trips are budgeted at net zero, with members repaying the club for the lodging. Our other expenses, administration, are covered by our annual membership fees.
