The Tishman Environment and Design Center at the New School integrates bold design policy and social justice approaches to environmental issues to achieve just and sustainable outcomes in collaboration with communities. The Tishman Center addresses the urgent need to integrate design and environment to address climate change and its social impacts. The funds were awarded to MCCA following the devastation caused by typhoon Mawar on Guam where MCCA spearheaded mutual aid efforts. We create sustainable solutions on Indigenous terms. The NDN Collective Community Action Fund supported our on-the-ground disaster response and just recovery efforts post-Typhoon Mawar on Guam in May of 2023.
