Built a community of 73 artists who all have a focus on climate change and climate justice and provided these individuals with a platform to present their work, share ideas, and seek support for new projects. The growth of this community of artists is on-going with an average of three artists added each month. Launched a series of interviews entitled "Curator Conversations" featuring one-on-one discussions with our artists featured on the Earth Creative website. The website now features a new carbon footprint calculator and a blog page. 0 46899 Education:Earth Creative's Science & Education focus develops content into artistic and science-based educational resources for formal and informal education for students of all ages. It develops a network of participating schools and teachers and organizes future in-person and virtual/remote school visits by artists and scientists. The Curriculum Resources section contains lesson plan ideas that formal and informal educators can use with their students. We have a new Initiative called EYE (Earth Youth Expressionists.) These will be a series of activities that educators can use with their students to get them engaged in climate change through both Science and the arts. This will be a continually growing and changing endeavor. Our goal is to make the lessons with a wide range that could be tailored to a variety of age groups. Educators can take these lesson plans and tailor them to the work for their students. These will be activities that investigate the artist on our site, as well offering suggestions in poetry writing activities. We will encourage social emotional learning strategies when students are facing difficult topics like climate change, habitat destruction, and social injustices. These emotions are harnessed to encourage students to express themselves through creative outlets and to get out more in nature. Environmental Justice is at the heart of the current climate crisis. Investigating local phenomena helps youth localize their climate research. When students center communities most affected by climate impact (human and other than human), they learn to engage in responsible research about mutual species reliance and environmental responsibility. Investigating social and environmental injustice cases can help youth broaden their understanding about interspecies reliance and environmental responsibility. These resources are designed to inspire students to gather and analyze data to create student-led climate action. 0 21051 Cultural Events: Launched its first foray in California which allowed us to reach new audiences and supporters.
