The interest can only be spent on books. The permanent endowments consist of the principal of Nance-Irby of $2,500.00 and Woodbury of $10,000.00 bequests as well as grants received from outside sources to cover expenses for the library collaboration with the local elementary school. Once the Board of Trustees are in place they are authorized to elect officers and make operating changes for the library. The committee researched pay scales and job duties for comparable positions in the field, reviewed and updated the job descriptions, obtained references and both are required bonding annually.
