<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Our largest project for the year was the Fuller Bike Adventure in June. We hosted two groups of bicycle riders on their way across the country, stopping in designated cities to volunteer at a work site. Over three days, more than 60 volunteers donated over 800 work-hours of labor. The project they worked on was a home in Logan City. The homeowner had been a strong community advocate and worked to protect her neighborhood. Then, she suddenly passed away, and her daughter took possession of the home.As of 2024, the home had been in disrepair for several years. The new homeowner was increasingly overwhelmed with the repairs the house needed: outdated plumbing, electrical, leaking roof, and overgrown and neglected landscaping. For three days in June, our volunteers cut back all the overgrown vegetation. We painted the exterior of the home and shed and the metal staircase in the side yard. We put up a fence and constructed an additional shed for outdoor storage. We removed tons of scrap metal, tree limbs, and overgrown vines, trimmed the grass, irrigation ditch, and fruit trees, and cleaned up all the dead pine needles. Then, we planted new perennials from a local nursery specializing in regional native plants. We added a stepping path through the new garden to the home entrance, cleaned all the cement surfaces, and reorganized her backyard to make it more usable. We removed over 20 yards of green waste, metal waste, damaged items, and deteriorated wood.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
