This software is available primarily as a mobile application, resident on a smartphone. We also distribute a web based version of DynaMed, for use on laptops and desktop computers, useful particularly in hospital settings. DynaMed is gifted to KCE by EBSCO Health, Ipswich, Ma. The software distributed by KCE is the mobile application that resides on a smartphone. Once downloaded to a smartphone, it does not need an internet connection for normal usage. Periodic updates to the software require an internet connection. The valuation of licenses vary, but the licenses for physicians are valued at $399 per physician. The valuation of large hospitals is $50,000. During this time period, KCE provided licenses to both large and small hospitals, as well as clinics and individual medical practitioners(primarily doctors), in various countries throughout the underserved world.
