The board may vote to purchase the equipment with funds donated from individuals and businesses for public safety purposes. Once the equipment has been purchased the organization donates the equipment to the public safety entity. The organization does not hold title to assets per the by-laws. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The Chairperson shall be the sitting Public Safety Director for Scotland County. The President shall be the sitting Assistant EMS Director for Scotland County. The remaining board of director seats shall be appointed by the Chairperson with the approval of the Scotland County Manager. The remaining board members shall be appointed by the Chairperson. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization makes records available upon request. It was discovered on 11/13/24 that this entity has two EIN's. The e-filed return for EIN 87-2094436 was rejected by the IRS. An extension was filed timely for EIN 87-2094436. It wasn't until the return was rejected for this EIN was it discovered that there were two EIN's associated with this entity. The correct EIN is 87-1737767. Please take this into consideration when examining this return that we did our due diligence in filing an extension and submitting the return by the due date. It was however for the wrong EIN which we were not aware existed until the rejection of the EIN 87-2094436 return.
