The Missouri Recycling Association provides a forum for sharing information through workshops, meetings and an annual conference. Members cooperate on a regional level to share experiences and encourage market development for recovered materials. The Missouri Recycling Association held its 2023 annual recycling conference in St. Louis with slightly less that 200 attendees. The annual conference is the primary education/networking function for the recycling industry in Missouri. Technical sessions were held for 2.5 days with various tracks and speakers presenting on education campaigns, EPA Goals and Priorities, Marketing of Materials, Contamination Challenges along with dealing or overcoming labor and driver shortages. 63002 4271 Support ALL local/regional statewide recycling and waste reduction programs and efforts. The Missouri Recycling Association works with private industry; city, county and state governments, schools, colleges and universities, manufacturers, etc. We do this by maintaining websites (3), disseminating bi-weekly newsletters and promoting resource and free webinars. In the past the organization had several full time employees to deal with programs/services. The decrease in revenues has resulted in staff hours being cut back. An Extension (Form 8868) was submitted on 5/13/2024 to allow us ample time to complete and submit the return. We received notification from the IRS the request for an extension was approved.
