Part VI, Line 6 Sonoma County Alliance offers Membership at several Membership levels including; Individual; Small Business; Medium Business; Large Business; Non-Profit; and Sustaining memberships. There are no stockholders. Part VI, Line 7a Board of Directors are voted by Sonoma County Alliance membership. We formally request your consideration for an Abatement of Late Filing Penalties. Our reasonable cause comes as a result of the impact to our organization by COVID-19. Our main source of revenue is in Membership Dues and our main source of Member Benefit is our Monthly Educational Business Meetings. Our cancellation of these monthly educational business meetings due to restrictions on in person gatherings resulted in less membership renewals. Business practices have changed since then and our organization continues to struggle. These impacts have been ongoing and resulted in our inability as an organization to afford an Executive Director for day-to-day operations. As a result we are nearly out of funds and rely 95% on Board Member volunteers. We are also unable to afford a tax professional to prepare our tax filings. Our record keeping continues to be problematic and it has taken time to sort through the financials of the Sonoma County Alliance to confidently file accurate tax reporting. We continue to work towards stabilization of our organization and strive to file timely in the future. These statements of reasonable cause are made under penalties of perjury.
