Robin Stauffer is the executive director of an organization that owns the non-controlling interest of the company that owns High Associates. Form 990, Part V, Line 1a Expenses began in calendar year 2024 and a Form 1096 will be completed at year-end consistent with the Form 1096 instructions. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Annually, every director affirms the conflict-of-interest policy. When a financial interest exists, the director is to identify and provide facts on the interest. After discussion, the director leaves the meeting, and a vote is taken on whether or not a conflict of interest exists. If a conflict does exist, the director may present information but cannot be present for discussion and the vote on that topic. If a director fails to disclose an actual or possible conflict, the board considers and votes on this. Periodic reviews for conflicts are also performed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Director and Board Chair John Cox's compensation is consistent with his standard market rate. His services and commensurate fees were reviewed and approved by Stephen Nieli, treasurer and Robin Stauffer, director. The scope of services and rates were originally set by the High Foundation who began the work for Partners for Environmental Stewardship.
