Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a The Trust is administered by a Board of Trustees composed of up to three trustees. In the event of a trustee vacancy, the remaining trustees will nominate a successor. Additionally, the Trust Settlor (Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County) may also nominate a successor. If there is only one nomination, the nominated individual will be appointed to the Board of Trustees following notice to all participating employers. If within thirty days of notice participating employers whose combined contributions exceed 50% of total contributions during the preceding year object to the new trustee, then the nomination will be withdrawn, and a new trustee will be nominated. The nominated trustee may act as a trustee during the notice period. If there is more than one nominee, a vote of the participating employers will be held. Each participating employer will receive one vote and have 30 days to cast their vote. The nominee receiving the most votes will be appointed as the new trustee. In the event of a tie vote, the votes shall be weighed by the amount of contributions each voting participating employer has made to the trust in the preceding year. The revised Form 990 was then provided to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for his review and approval. The final version of the Form 990 was reviewed and approved for filing by the Chairman.
