If an applicant meets the minimum criteria, then their application is scored based on a point rubric per application section. Each applicant then is awarded the scholarship tier amount based on points earned. Scholarships are reviewed by Scholarship Committee, Athletic Coordinator and outside Essay Graders. No recipient is awarded over $2500, that is tier cap available with the lowest award being $500 Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Jags Athletic Booster Club had 225 Athletic Booster Members for the 2023-2024 Year - Each member has 1 vote per family membership. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a 2023-2024 had 225 Booster Members with a quorum of 9 members to elect an Executive Board Member. At the end of each fiscal year, candidates are vetted and at the last General Membership meeting the executive board candidate slate is voted upon by the members in attendance. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Changes/Amendments to operating budget, changes to Bylaws, and the election of Executive Board all require a quorum of 9 active Booster Members at a General Membership meeting. Each General Membership meeting requires a quorum to conduct any vote on amendments, bylaw changes or election of candidates. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b At the conclusion of the fiscal year, two or three current Jags Athletic Booster Club members are appointed by the Executive Board to be named the Reconciliation Committee. The committee reviews all financial transactions, meeting minutes and 990 filings past and present to ensure business was conducted per bylaws. The current or previous Treasurer in not allowed to serve on the Reconciliation Committee as well as any other check signers from previous or incoming year. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c If any such conflict of interest arose, the interested person would call it to the attention of the Executive Board for resolution. If the conflict related to a matter required board action, such person was not allowed to vote on the matter. All conflict resolutions are resolved by an Executive Board vote and/or direction provided by the School Principal and Athletic Coordinator when necessary.
