We cared for 45 children through full-time residential care at Happy Family Children's Village, reunified 14 children with their families, provided intensive support at home for 69 children, provided preschool and daycare for 65 children, and provided tutoring and adult education for over 102 community members. In addition, children in 481 families were supported via microfinance access. The Small Things founded the Families and Futures Coalition of Tanzania to transform the alternative care system . Through FFCT, we provided intensive support and supervision to five local orphanages to aid their transition to more ethical models of care. TST TZ is registered in Tanzania and recognized as a charitable operation in that country. There is an annual audit process of funds that are provided to TST TZ and the findings of that audit are available to and reviewed by TST Inc. Programmatic activity of TZ operations are reported on a periodic basis to The Small Things Inc, to monitor use of grants.
