All children receive nutritious meals every school day, which has reduced malnourishment by more than ten percent. Rayo de Sol also offers scholarships for more than 800 high school and university students. This allows them to stay in school and continue their education, since their families cant afford to support their academic efforts. There were also 250 adults that participated in vocational training and small business development courses. This creates new economic opportunities so that families can break the cycles of chronic poverty.
