Part IV Section E, line 2A The Organization evaluates the request for funds from the Supported Organization The Church considers the need and impact on the congregation the amount of money being requested and the adherence of the request to the Organization's exempt purpose - which is to further the religious educational and ministerial activities of the Church. This year's donation of $4,000 was to upgrade the lighting system in the Church Sanctuary to enhance the worship services for the Church members. Part IV, Section E, line 2B The Supported organization The Church has had ongoing problems with the aging lighting system in the Sanctuary specifically the continuous flickering of some of the ceiling lights. This condition not only detracted from the overall worship experience but over time became a safety concern too. This grant funded the inspection and evaluation of the lighting system as the first phase of a complete system upgrade. During this phase the flickering problem was eliminated thus enabling church members and guests to singularly focus on their shared worship experience when convening in the Sanctuary. Part VI, Line 11a Form 990 will be reviewed by an Ad-hoc committee of the Board prior to filing the return.
