We added to our quarantine pasture to create safety for our other horses. Ours numbers were nearly double from the prior year so the amount of money spent reflects the difference in years prior. The cost of feed and hay has risen due to lack of hay available in our area. We also added Stocks for farrier and vet care . It makes it safer on the vets and board members to handle the horses. <ExplanationTxt>| Explanation:| This year we had several medical cases that required extensive surgeries and rehab. Vada the wry nose foal required several thousand dollars in aftercare. Her expenses were a huge amount of our spending this year. She had several follow up surgeries. We had an unusual amount of body score 1 and 2 rescues. Most of which included long term rehab. This year we tried some different types of therapy to rebuild the muscles and hooves of some of these critical horses. This year we took on nearly 30 more horses than the prior year . We also had a colt that was stunted from neglect that requires a crypt orchid surgery at Hagyard equine hospital. We had alot of corrective farrier expenses due to the serious neglect of nearly 20 of the horses. We added a set of stocks to safely work on farrier and vet required visits. It required more extensive trims. We did add a wooden lean two shelter to replace a damaged cloth one in the quarantine pasture. We did have to change the footing in all 4 areas of paddocks. We created a round pen .</ExplanationTxt>
