Program Service Accomplishments - Public education efforts include working with youth groups across Kansas to empower them to develop their own tobacco free prevention projects. Mini grants were awarded to provide tobacco use educational events, ie, make the Kansas State Fair a smoke-free event, Kick Butts and Great American Smokeout day. For adult public education, events are offered on various tobacco topics at the annual convention and webinars. TFKS acts as a statewide clearing house for partners and media sources on tobacco-related news, and outreach is provided by website, newsletters, listserve and social medial. 0 5700 Technical support is provided to advance tobacco control policies, promote proven practices and opportunities for program assistance or funding and to advance the organizational mission of reducing tobacco us in Kansas. TFKS provides various services on their website, educational programs at the annual and winter meetings, and communication of mission and recruitment of members statewide. The person at the accounting firm that prepared the returns in the past resigned from the company and no one replaced her nor was this communicated to our organization. We have a very small budget, all volunteers and have no paid staff. We would appreciate any leniency for the removal of any penaties and interest as we work to get our returns filed.
