Advance health care directives are a significant component of advance care planning, which is the process of exploring and communicating one's goals, preferences, and beliefs regarding health care treatment(s) and intervention(s) after one has lost the capacity to make and/or articulate those decisions for oneself. This ties very closely to MCHCE's supported organization's focus on end of life care and dementia. 2). One of the primary goals in revising the Honoring Choices Minnesota Health Care Directive was to make the document more culturally inclusive and equitable. This directly relates to MCHCE's sponsored organization's priority area of exploring the perspectives that diverse faith and cultural traditions bring to health care decision making. The employees of the Minnesota Center of Health Care Ethics are at least annually informed of the employee conflict of interest policy to which they are subject and that legally required enforcement actions will be followed upon any incidence of a conflict of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Compensation for the CEO/COO Director at its inception was determined by what the annual budget could support while allowing the the hiring of second professional ethicist as its Associate Director as it functioned under a spartan operating expense budget. Shortly thereafter, salaries of comparable position with comparable professional qualifications were reviewed both regionally and nationally. The results of the review revealed the CEO/COO Director's compensation as well as that of the Associate Director's compensation were significantly below the standard of the industry. Therefore a compensation committee comprised of the CEO's of the member organizations approved an annual 4% increase in the annual professional compensation.
