The animal population in these shelters varies widely. On December 31, 2023, MH housed 305 animals. During 2023, Midcoast Humane impacted 4,072 dogs, cats and small animals. We had 2,730 adoptions and returned 322 missing animals to their homes. Midcoast Humane contracts with 39 municipalities, providing support with strays, surrenders and seizures.
