This increases our overall service area for these services from 5 to 6 counties in Southwest Minnesota. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b A draft version of Form 990 along with a completed independent financial audit are provided to the finance committee of the governing board to review. This review is done with the key personnel and officers of the organization in order to field questions or concerns regarding the form 990. The finance committee recommends the approval of the draft form 990 to the entire governing board. The governing board must then approve the form 990 prior to filing for the tax year. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The board reviews conflict of interest policy on an annual basis and reminds board members and key employees to disclose conflict of interests as they arise. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The executive director, assistant director, finance manager, youth program manager, child advocacy program manager, and regional navigator were all positions that underwent review for compensation. These reviews took place in 2023 and finalized in 2024. For all positions, except the executive director, the executive director compiled comparative data from other organizations and respected data collection agencies. For the executive director, the comparative data was compiled by independent members of the governing board. The comparative data was presented to the governing board along with other supporting documentation (resumes, current compensation, job descriptions) and substantively deliberated among the governing board. The governing board recommended a compensation based on the evidence and discussion. These discussions and recommendations are documented in writing within the board minutes on file.
