The finance department ensures that funds are allocated to the appropriate budget categories and that expenditures align with the approved grant proposal. Grant funds are allocated to specific program categories based on the terms outlined in each grant agreement. The finance department collaborates with program managers to ensure that the budget is properly aligned and that spending is in compliance with the grants restrictions. The use of grant funds is reviewed on a quarterly basis by both the program management team and the finance department. Our organization uses a project management system to track spending against the approved budget and monthly financial statements are provided to senior manager for review.
