Statement of Revenue Part VIII In January 2023, SEPAG received a bequest from a local police officers estate to fund a scholarship in his mothers name, to advance understanding of special education, whose focus included educating parents, caregivers, and teachers about modern developments in identifying autism at an early age, disseminate information about current research in neurology as it relates to autism, and the benefits of including autonomy and self-advocacy as part of the life skills of persons with autism, in contrast to more antiquated educational approaches such as Applied Behavioral Analysis.$440,000 was received in total from the estate, all of which is to be used for these scholarships.
