The director of the SSP-US visits the school in India each year in July and meets with the board of directors and staff, including the accountant, to go over and audit all financial reports. We also have a US liaison in place at the school and maintain phone calls with this person at least twice per week. All of our US-side board meetings include reports on how the funds sent to the school have been, or will be, spent. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Executive Director and the Treasurer work with an outside CPA to accurately prepare our Form 990 and a copy of the completed 990 is emailed to all board members before the return is filed.
