Each distribution contains enough food for a family of four for three days. This provides each person with twelve small meals. We provide food to those in need in the New London area with a choice of foods to provide a balanced diet of fresh, frozen and canned foods. This includes vegetables, bread, fruit, peanut butter, dairy products, meats and various other products that become available to us. Starting 1/1/23, our primary food supplier, Foodshare CT, started charging for some items through their Grocery Purchasing Program (GPP). These items were previously offered for free during the pandemic. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Form 990 is completed by the Treasurer or President and then sent to the President for review. It is given to the Board once completed and filed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Conflict of Interest was reviewed and signed by each director. If any issue should arise, they were obligated to report it to the board at our next meeting and to the president directly. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Form 990 is posted on the office and is also available to anyone who requests a copy (verbally or in writing). Our Bylaws and Conflict of Interest documents are made similarly available. Our goal was to submit our 990 earlier in the year but we had some turnover in our Pantry organization. While we missed the initial return due date of 5/15/24, we are within the extended due date of 11/15/24.
