This Scorecard project, led by patient organizations, aims to measure the performance of health systems in meeting the needs of people with eczema (atopic dermatitis) and their caregivers. Guided by 13 patient organizations from 13 countries, this initiative has established benchmarks for assessing crucial dimensions of health care provision. These benchmarks will inform policy recommendations aimed at improving care and treatments from the perspective of those living with eczema. To ensure effective monitoring and transparency, GPER implements the following procedures: Collaborative Guidance: The project is guided by contributions from 13 patient organizations, ensuring diverse and comprehensive oversight. Benchmark Development: Benchmarks are established for assessing dimensions of health care provision critical to patients, including treatment satisfaction, medical care delivery, control of symptoms, burden of illness, patient education and training, quality/safety, and access to specialists and treatments. Regular Reporting: All research and findings are published online, providing transparency and accessibility to the public. The measure dashboard includes seven domains related to the experience of living with eczema and the provision of medical care. Online Accessibility: Contributions and results are published online at https://www.gper.org/report-card, allowing for ongoing public review and accountability. These procedures ensure that grants and other assistance are used effectively to advance the Scorecard project's goals and improve health care systems' responsiveness to the needs of people with eczema and their caregivers.
