It also supports the operations of the school by providing funds for scholarships for attendees, purchasing textbooks, teaching materials and tools, and desks for the children to use while at school. The ministry also recruits teachers. While the initial vision of providing health, education, life-skills, pure water, and solar or other renewable energy sources was to the islands of the Pacific, this school (Faith Christian Academy) has embodies the whole vision on a smaller level. We are a very lean organization and need every dime to support our mission. A volunteer CPA is now handling our filing. She is a corporate financial accountant and she accidentally confused the due date of May 15. She has a system for filing the 990 timely now that she has the financials in quickbooks online and a way to reconcile the cash monthly. We will not miss the deadline going forward. We sincerely apologize for this oversight and ask for your mercy and grace in waiving the late filing fee for this year since we are filing in advance of the extension date (Oct 15). Thank you!
