The membership application is reviewed by the executive director and approved by a vote of the majority of the board. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a Members may be nominated for a term on the board of directors. Individuals are elected to the board by the membership. All directors must subscribe to the statement of faith as set forth in Article II of the bylaws. All directors must be employees in good standing of an institutional member of the organization. No two persons employed by the same institutional member organization may serve on the board of directors at the same time. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b An annual meeting of the institutional members shall be held in conjunction with the annual conference. New board members are introduced to the membership and installed. Other business at the annual meeting shall include approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and reports as determined by the board. When any matter shall arise which either the president or the board of directors considers necessary to be put to a vote of the membership, they may call a meeting. When together they find it inconvenient to call a meeting, they may submit such matters in writing to membership for a vote by mail.
