<PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>Musica Vitale is a professional ensemble presenting a cappella chamber works of Western European and Slavic origin from the last 300 years. The ensembles mission is to revive and rediscover neglected repertoire of the Classical, Romantic, and post-Romantic eras, maintaining the highest artistic standards, preserving the heritage of vocal chamber music, and bringing enrichment to the community through public performances.Vitale--or vital, of life--translates into the choices of the ensembles repertoire, emphasizing the works of Romantic and Contemporary periods of Music History, emotionally open and charged with expression. An ensemble of some of San Diego's finest singers offers an audible feast of choral colors and timbres, equally successful in singing with delicacy and finesse as in Robert Schumanns Romanzen und Balladen, and with the richness and warmth of Sergey Rachmaninovs Vespers.Musica Vitale has been bringing music to life since 2005, when a group of professional singers from</PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Musica Vitales 2021/2022 back to normal season from Covid 19 enforced hiatus, was highly active. In the year 2022 Musica Vitale gave 6 performances and 5 school programs to residents of San Diego and Coronado. In the fall of 2022 Musica Vitale created Coronado Community Choir, aka Crown City Chorale, under the umbrella of the Education and Outreach department. 40 residents of Coronado and beyond joined the community choir in the fall of 2022.In the spring of 2022 Musica Vitale participated in collaborative event San Diego Sings, where over sixty local choral groups gathered at Baker Baum Hall in La Jolla, to bring music to San Diego community over one of Aprils weekends. Musicas appearance at the event was gratis; the group was not paid. The group of twenty singers sang an a cappella program dedicated to peace in Ukraine. Over four hundred listeners were reached in the course of an evening. Two performances stand apart in the otherwise regular season schedule of 2022: Benefit for Ukraine concerts in April and May of 2022 (This last one was titled The Worlds Quilt of Songs) that took place at St. Pauls Cathedral, San Diego and at St. Pauls Methodist Church in Coronado. All proceeds were donated to: Red Cross, Kiev, Ukraine; Nova Ukraina, House of Ukraine/Balboa Park and Episcopal Relief and Development/Ukraine Fund. Programming consisting of Ukrainian, German, English, American, Armenian choral and instrumental music, as well as works highlighting prayers for peace and unifying aspects of our lives were delivered to an audience of 600 people. These concerts were collaborations between Musica Vitale, instrumentalists from Baja California Orchestra and St. Pauls Cathedral choir. On stage were twenty-four singers, 20 members of the orchestra, an organist, pianist, conductor. School programs funded by Coronado community Grant are different every year. In the spring of 2022, the program The Quilt of Songs consisted of songs in Yiddish, Italian and Spanish. Students learned refrains (chorus) from various songs, listened to artists sing and speak of their connection to their roots and homeland through the song, as well as engaged in the conversation with performers. Three singers, a pianist and a lecturer delivered five programs to local schools. In the fall of 2022 Musica Vitale participated in the International Choral Festival in Mexico Coralifornia. An a cappella program of international folk and sacred works was presented in St. Jose Church in Tijuana. The foreword was delivered in Spanish and English. Twenty singers of Musica Vitale participated in this festival. In the winter of 2022 Musica Vitale gave two performances of the program titled Chantos, Noel. The highlight of the program was the presence of Ukrainian composer Vladislav Volynsky, who left Ukraine at the beginning of war and lived in LA at the time. Musica Vitale performed his carols in their original language. International sacred and secular works for winter season were performed by twenty-four musicians: singers and instrumentalists at the Coronado public library- free for public and at St. George Serbian Church, San Diego. An audience of over four hundred attended two events. In 2022 Coronado Community Choir (aka Crown City Chorale) participated in community events such as Christmas Tree lighting and Sing Along at the Coronado Library.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
