Life coaching focuses on financial literacy, life skills, job and career advancement, health and wellness, and access to quality education for children. Families are also provided tools to achieve financial capacity, housing stability and affordability through rent support. Families Flourish is about paving the way for success. Our results show 58%/$17,000 average increased income, 100+-point higher credit scores, health and wellness improvements, and kids thriving at grade level and above in their schools. Grant funds are used as a set amount of monthly rental support. The landlords for participants in Groups 1 and 2, the first 31 families admitted into the program, received $400 per month for up to 36 months while the participants rent their apartment units. The landlords for participants in Group 3, the next 17 families, receive $500 per month for 18 months then $400 per month for the remaining 18 months while the participants rent their apartment units. Funding continues as long the participants continue to participate in required program activities and pay their portion of the rent. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The President and Treasurer worked with the organization's consulting firm to prepare the 990. The Board's Finance Subcommittee, chaired by the Board Treasurer who is a member of the Executive Committee, reviewed the 990 at its meeting so questions could be addressed. The Board of Directors received a copy of the 990 and voted on its approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Conflict of Interest Statements are signed upon joining the Board of Directors and then in July annually by every Board member. Statements are filed in the organizations board files. The President reviews the Statements to see if there are any conflicts. If any are disclosed, the President will provide such information to the Executive Committee to determine actions to be taken, if any. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Chief Executive compensation is reviewed and approved by the Finance Subcommittee and then the Board of Directors. Annually the Executive Committee reviews performance of the Chief Executive and reports to the Board of Directors.
