Our mission is to educate, encourage, and empower adults, children impacted by kidney disease and their families. The Kindness for Kidneys Patient Education program is a 5-week interactive virtual program designed to support kidney warriors and their families in preparing for and navigating through dialysis. Virtual sessions are approximately one and a half hours long and are led by physicians, therapists and kidney warrior community leaders who have been impacted by kidney disease. The Kidney Patient Education program modules include: "How to Survive Outpatient Dialysis", "Mind Over Matter: Tackling Mental Health Challenges", "Nutrition and Meal Prep", "Preparing for Kidney Transplantation" & "My Personal Goals and Care Plan." To date, 92 patients have benefitted from the program. 27344 23306 Annual Holiday Drive - Dialysis care packages were provided to 650 adult dialysis patients and 12 pediatric dialysis patients. The goal of this initiative is to spread kidney disease awareness to local businesses and the community and invite them to donate winter accessories and/or monetary donations to spread holiday cheer. 5705 7965 Since 2018, we've hosted monthly support group meetings. The meetings are held virtually on the second Sunday of each month.
