The area received a standard federal allocation based on state of Ohio's allocation policy and served 6,856 individuals through the OMJ Center and its network of partners. CCMEP leverages transitional assistance for needy families (TANF) and WIOA funding to serve 14-24 year old youth with comprehensive employment, education, and training services, to improve their work readiness and college readiness capabilities, as well as providing treatment and case management for a variety of impediments to their workforce success. Services are provided by three organizations - two for out-of-school youth and one for in-school youth. The Organization does not have any uncertain tax positions, inclding any position that would place the Organization's exempt status in jeopardy at June 30, 2023. Pt VI, Line 11b Form 990 is prepared by the independent financial auditors and reviewed by the Executive Committee which is reponsible for the audit and tax functions. The Treasurer prepares and shares a report of the actions of the Exeuctive Committe for discussion and ratification by the full board at the next quarterly meeting. Pt VI, Line 12c When the board votes on material financial transactions, the Chair asks if there are any Members with financial conflicts who need to recuse themselves or abstain from the vote. Any such recusals or abstentions are recorded in the minutes of that meeting. Pt VI, Line 15a The Executive Director's compensation is reviewed by the Executive Committee under the executive compensation policy and results of the evaluation are shared with the full board before it becomes effective. The budget is approved at the May meeting and available upon request, as are fiscal reports from Hamilton County Job and Family Services as the administrative entity and fiscal agent under both the Sunset Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 that supply the funds that the Organization uses and oversees for the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Pt VI, Line 7a The mayor of the City of Cincinnati is the lead elected official who approves recommendations for the Board related to nomination of the Board of Members; contracts with service providers; strategic plans, and code of regulation changes in accordance with an intergovernmental service agreement between the City of Cincinnati and the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.
