This has included an oral history video collection, which was inaugerated at the Corvallis Museum, the celebration of the Day of the Dead, and our participation at Corvallis Open Streets. 143339 141348 RESILIENCE AND CAPACITY BUILDING: Casa Latinos Unidos support the Latinx communities in Benton and Linn counties through workforce development and educational activities. Through a partnership with the Willamette Workforce Partnerships, we are recruiting youth for the Y-CAN workforce training and work experience program. And through a partnership with the Mid-Valley STEM-CTE Hub and Linn Benton Community College, we are conducting mentorship activities with middle school children. Additionally, we have started to offer English classes and financial education workshops at Garfield Elementary School and other locations in Albany and Lebanon. 143339 141348 FAMILY EMPOWERMENT: We aid Latinx individuals and families, particularly those who do not have enough proficiency in the English language, with interpreting, translations, completing forms and applications, resume building, drafting letters, technology assistance, making medical appointments, and referrals to low-cost or free legal services. As part of this program, we provide emergency financial assistance to pay rent to people who have experienced hardship because of health or job-related reasons. Part III response or note to any other line in Part III FAMILY EMPOWERMENT CONTINUED: We do outreach in the community for the Oregon Health Plan, SNAP, and the Marketplace, as well as assist people enrolling in these programs. Additionally, we partner with the County Public Health Offices in conducting health outreach activities through health fairs, vaccination clinics, and medical clinics. A central piece of our work is to assist people in finding resources such as transportation services, food services, and legal services.Casa Latinos Unidos also received financial support from Linn County Public Health to provide wraparaound support and systems navigation to individuals and families from Linn County. This includes housing one of our community health workers at the Greater Albany Public School Welcome Center and the Farmworker Housing Development Corporation Colonia Paz housing complex in Lebanon.
