Limited Administrative Support: Our administrative team is small and was not fully aware of the specific filing requirements and deadlines associated with Form 990. 2. Lack of Experienced Personnel: We do not yet have a dedicated tax professional on staff, which led to uncertainties and delays in preparing the necessary documentation accurately. 3. Educational Delays: Significant time was invested in training and education to ensure compliance with IRS regulations, which inadvertently delayed our filing process. We assure you that these delays were not due to negligence or disregard for our filing obligations. Since realizing our oversight, we have taken corrective measures to ensure timely compliance in the future. These measures include engaging a tax advisor experienced with nonprofit organizations and scheduling regular tax compliance training for our staff. In light of these circumstances, we respectfully request that the IRS consider abating the penalties associated with our late filing, as they were due to reasonable cause and not willful neglect.
