The asset transfer was completed in late 2016. At the same time, the new Board of Directors was made aware of potential revenue, which materialized in 2017 and provided funds to re-establish the Museum. The Board is working witht the Spirit of America Education Foundation to retrieve its museum assets, while continuing to explore for a proper venue. The Board has chosen under SFAS 116 to exclude these items from its revenue and statements of assets in the preceding years and will continue to do so. Almost all of these items have been obtained through public donation, and the few exceptions where the Foundation expended funds were expensed in the year the funds were disbursed. No acquisitions by donation or purchase were obtained during the year ended December 31, 2022. Pt VI, Line 11b After the return is prepared, it is presented to each director for review and comment. After all comments are resolved, the return is filed. Pt VI, Line 12c Officers and directors annually file a statement identifying any potential conflicts of interest or state that no conflicts exist. They are reminded at each of two regularly scheduled meetings to disclose any conflicts of interest. Regular contact among the officers and directors exists, and those subject to the policy are required to self-identify and disclose conflicts arising outside the scheduled meetings.
