Voting membership is reserved for Groundwater Conservation Districts (GCDs), and each GCD makes up TAGD's board. In 2022, TAGD had 93 GCDs as its voting members. The board is responsible for approving budgets, membership dues, and accepting financial reports and audits. Pt VI, Line 15a: In addition to the full board, TAGD has an Executive Committee that is made up of five elected officers (president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and parliamentarian) and an elected official from each of the 9 TAGD Areas not already represented by an officer. The Executive Committee is responsible for staff performance evaluations, determining staff compensation, accepting financial reports from the Finance Committee, and approving any other actions prior to their distribution to the full board. Pt VI, Line 11b: One of TAGD's standing committees is its Finance and Budget Committee, which is responsible for reviewing TAGD's quarterly financial statements, budgets and audits. TAGD's elected treasurer chairs that committee, and receives a copy of tax returns.
