Speakers, facilitators, supplies for a weekly half day meeting of people with memory problems. This Memory Cafe averages 30 participants and their care givers. There is a monthly meeting for the care givers. This program is generally our most costly but most accomplished program. 0 3519 General expenditures that provide needed resources, supplies, newsletter and equipment that the Town does NOT cover in the budget for the senior enter. The center had 1,891 unduplicated participants this year. 0 2818 we provide funds to a household emergency fuel fund. This varies every year and two were cover in this calendar year. 0 1973 Brown Bag: This is the mostly federal program to get food to the needy of the senior population. Our organization provides the volunteers and some minor finances to see that the program gets executed locally. As we are one of the stronger senior centers, we also support two other local towns with the Brown Bag program. We assemble and distribute between 95 and 120 bags of food each month. The count varies a bit due to deaths, people moving, etc. A Pantry is also setup to provide emergency food to individuals if the need arises.
