The mission was to raise awareness around the higher incidence of prostate cancer among our population and solicit support from industry and physicians. The population was primarily Veterans and we hosted a number of guests in a chalet on the flight line for the event. The intention was to introduce our organization to multiple new potential sponsors, meet with physicians dealing with prostate cancer, and to support efforts requested by our current sponsors. We also exhibited at the Amercian Society of Clinical Oncology to help introduce our efforts to new sponsors. In September we attended the US Marine Corps annual air show and hosted a chalet for fundraising. The concept was to ensure our audience of Veterans were aware of the need to screen earlier than the general population due to hazardous exposures. We also solicited donations from a crowd of over 750,000 attendees. We held a fund raiser dinner at the National Press Club in Washington DC which was attended by the majority of our sponsors. The event demonstraited our need to continue this effort and hold an annual event each Veterans Day.
