We also encourage families to participate in some of the events that can be offered for them such as pottery skiing game night. STOKE has had very good results from our instructors providing mentorship with the youth. Most have really blossomed from our afterschool classes. All of our classes are free to the youth. We are developing outdoor experiences to get kids away from their screens also. From our mission statement: Help us encourage our youth to enhance their own undiscovered innate abilities and spend their extra time by participating in our ever-expanding programs and projects. All we need is their enthusiasm and desire to achieve a little more. We have Three different levels of robotics STEM programs from 3rd to 12 grade students. Some use a high end LEGO kits and tablets to create robots and other creations and the upper grades build their own robots. They compete in various competitions from state to nationals to worlds. There are many scholarships and job opportunities for kids here. All of our programs are free to the kids so we depend on donations and grants for these and other programs. We have been able to utilize several grants. Some of the larger grants are utilized by our other programs as well. The younger kids. Program differs in funding as we struggle to find instructors which limits us in the number of classes we can offer. The number of students has varied with the programs. We are a small county but we have provided as many as 60 youth the opportunity of the robotics classes. The grant amount listed is a combination of a specific grant of $2250 and a larger two-year grant $20,000 for two years. 8000 10000 Pottery and Ceramics Program - In the past couple of years we received an Afterschool grant through the state OPI ESSER division which was Covid money $53000. We were able to purchase over $25,000 of new equipment and secure a lease on a building to house our pottery program. We do serve the local school with classes and serve approximately 40 students through that avenue. We also offer open classes to other youths who do not participate through the 21st Century afterschool program. These student numbers vary also but there have been approximately 10 served over the past year and a half since we started the program. We also offer adult pottery but we charge them for the use of the equipment and the clay usage. The money from these adults go back into the program to defray costs for the youth and rent of the facility. Adults and community served are approximately 40 for the year. We use the money paid to us through that program to help us pay the $1100 month rent on our facility an 0 30000 We have Various other programs which are smaller and run at various times but do not have consistent schedules. Some are clinics which are expensive but have returned great results such as the clinic MAPS Media Institute provided our 12 students. Cost of that program was over $7100 for two days. We have cooking sewing and fly tying classes and are forming a ski club. We have offered a game night and help the kids participate in various fun events such as parades and doing service work at our various fundraisers. The kids have really shined at these events. Many of our youth have benefited from these programs by overcoming various impediments physical and mental which is one of our goals. We have served over 30 more youth in these programs in a years time with many of the kids participating in several of the different classes and events.
