Part VI, Line 12c The Board of Directors meets quarterly to review the finances of the organization and ensure there are no conflicts of interest. Part VI, Line 15a The Board of Directors reviewed the performance of the Executive Director and compared her performance to the expectations and deliverables for the position. The contracted stipend was reviewed, and compared to that of Executive Directors for similar organizations in the state of Washington. The Executive Director did not vote on the proposed stipend amount when it was approved. Part VI, Line 19 Governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements were on file with the Executive Director throughout the year. All policies were posted on the website. Financial statements were reviewed during annual meeting at the State Conference. Upon request, any other documents were provided for review. Part VI, Line 1a One Board position, that of Alumni Rep, is a shared position, so 2 people only have 1 combined vote. Part VI, Line 2 The daughter of the Executive Director is contracted to provide social media management, and to work with the state officer team in a leadership capacity. Part VI, Line 6 TSA teachers/advisors are considered "members" of the organization. They are not compensated, nor can they receive any disbursement of funds. However, once a year they are allowed to vote to elect members of the statewide Board of Directors. TSA students are also considered "members" of the organization. They are not compensated, nor can they receive any disbursement of funds. However, once a year they are allowed to vote to elect the student State Officer Team, and the state president serves as a non-voting member of the statewide Board of Directors.
