Scholarships are disbursed to attend private schools to 63 students. These students and from low income homes and have been selected based on merit and need. A volunterr from SOL meets quarterly with the different teachers at the six private schools that these students attend. This helps to track the students progress and see if additional tutoring or help is needed for the student to succeed. The information used to answer form 990 is from the data entered into the accounting software by an independent accountant based off of receipts and records kept on hand and entered each month. These records are reconciled with all donations bank statements etc to assure accuracy.
