<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>GRANADA HILLS SOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL GRANT - $1,500.00:THE PAN-ASIAN PACIFIC POPULATION IS A SIGNIFICANT VALLEY COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY IN NORTHRIDGE. THE MUSEUMS FIRST PAN-ASIAN PACIFIC FESTIVAL IN 2022, BROUGHT IN A TOTAL ATTENDENCE OF 750 VISITORS. AFTER EVALUATING THE FESTIVALS METRICS AND FEEDBACK, THE MUSEUM ASCERTAINED IT NEEDED MORE EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING ELEMENTS TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. FOR YEAR 2 THE MUSEUM WISHED TO DEVELOP A NEW TABLE-TO-TABLE COUNTER CARD EXHIBIT REFLECTING FACT-LETS AND HISTORIES OF EACH FESTIVAL VENDOR AND PERFORMERS PAN-ASIAN HERITAGE OR RELATIONSHIP TO THE PAN-ASIAN COMMUNITY. A PASSPORT PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN WOULD ALSO BE IMPLEMENTED TO ENTICE EACH CHILD TO VISIT EACH OF THE VENDORS BOOTHS. WITH THE MAJOR FESTIVAL ELEMENTS ALREADY COMMITTED TO BEING FUNDED THROUGH CSUNS HONORARIA, THE MUSEUM APPROACHED THE GRANADA HILLS SOUTH N.C. TO FUND THE COUNTER CARD PROGRAM. THEY APPROVED THE GRANT THAT COVERS THE COST OF THE PRINTING AND ASSEMBLAGE OF THE COUNTER CARDS, HIRING 3 MORE PAN-ASIAN PACIFIC PERFORMERS, AND, BECAUSE OF THE INTENSE VALLEY HEAT, FUNDING FREE BOTTLED WATER FOR ALL VISITORS, PERFORMERS AND PARTICIPANTS AT THE FESTIVAL. THE RESULT WAS THAT THE MUSEUM WAS ABLE TO PROMOTE ITS MISSION AS AN INSTITUTION WHILE GENERATING A CONNECTION FOR LOCAL PAN-ASIAN/PACIFIC FAMILIES WITH THEIR CULTURES AND HOW THEIR HERITAGES, CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND CONTRIBUTIONS HAVE GIVEN LIFE TO THE SFV PAN-ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER BUSIINESSES AND NEIGHBORS LIVING AND RESIDING IN THE VALLEY.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
