In 2023 the UHEC mounted two exhibitions celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor, and one exhibition on hand carved wooden Ukrainian decorated eggs. Our children's educational programming " Crafts for Kids" conducted 11 virtual workshops in addition to a weeklong summer crafts camp. The artifacts and objects are exhibited in rotating exhibitions in the gallery space, and are used for educational and research purposes. The UHEC Archives holds hundreds of collections documenting the lives and work of Ukrainian and Ukrainian American individuals, families, organizations and parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA. It also houses a major collection of Ukrainian recorded sound, which includes thousands of LPS and shellac discs, and hundreds of one-of-a-kind magnetic records in cassette and real-to-reel format. The UHEC draws on these collections to present exhibitions, create programming and web content. UHEC archival Collections are accessible to the public by appointment. All processed archives collections are open for on-site, in-person research use free of charge. Each level has various benefits which include discounted admission and program fees, biannual newsletter and access to members-only content.
