Services to Youth - Burnett Elementary: 22 students served; 4 month reading program that met bi-monthly to assist second grade students with low reading scores 2197 Georgia Links Day at the Capitol - The West Georgia (GA) Chapter hosted the Georgia Links Day at the Capitol. More than 200 members and guests convened at Georgia State University for a reception and panel discussion that discussed the need for women to seek office. On the second day, members convened at the Georgia State Capitol where we discussed important issues facing our communities. The topics included; maternal health, fibromyalgia treatment and misdiagnosis, and HBCU land-grant institutions funding issues. Members left with a charge to educate our communities on being our own health advocates and were also encouraged to educate ourselves on the challenges that HBCU land-grant institutions face. 750 Black Family Wellness Expo: 89 served; community program to assist with physical, nutritional and mental health resources. 735 Other Program services - Dressing Her from the Inside Out: 10 women assisted- community program to assist women with clothing donations and workforce skill preparation.
