Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 General Expenses include assessments by our National and State organizations, annual convention expenses, advertising, meeting expenses, awards and supplies. I had a surgical procedure scheduled in May. The first part of the month I was getting all the paperwork necessary for the insurance company to allow the procedure. During the procedure, while on the operation room table, I had a problem with my heart which caused the surgery to be cancelled. Taking care of all of the medical tests filled my days and distracted me. I simply forgot to file the extension.
