LWPC served 50 newly enrolled and 42 previously enrolled displaced homemakers in this past fiscal year. Services include workshops, individual peer counseling, testing and assessments, advocacy and resources and referrals. Target populations are low income women, abuse survivors, single parents and women moving off of public assistance to self-sufficiency. This past fiscal year, LWPC served 41 newly enrolled and 39 previously enrolled women in transition. This program also served 94 clients through collaborative programming that were not specifically enrolled in this program. Books and Materials for Groups 8 605 For "Books and Materials for Groups" LWPC spent $605 for books and materials for the 8 clients in our advanced training called "Spirited Journeys. Script Cards for Clothes 63 6050 For "Script Cards for Clothes" LWPC gave $50 Walmart Script cards to 63 clients. The cards are to be used to purchase interview clothes or other needs of the clients. $6,050 was given. Client Assistance 68 8896 "Client Assistance" has many components. Thirteen clients received rental assistance totaling $6,506. Three clients received help with utilities totaling $186. Four clients received help with the purchase of communication equipment totaling $317. Two clients received help with enrollments or books totaling $257. Fifteen clients enjoyed snacks during trainings totaling $316. Twenty two clients received help with personal needs totaling $816. Two clients got their birth certificates for $52. Five clients received incentives to get reports done for $250. One client received help with health care for $149, and one client rented a PO Box for $47. Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 Schedule I, Part 1, Line 2 - At LWPC we create a department to track expenses for all of the major grants (generally over $10,000). Our chart of accounts is very broad and we are able to account for each part of a grant in the manner the donor/grantee requested. We only apply for grants for which we are eligible per the requirements of the grantee. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The entire 990 was presented to the entire Board of Directors via email and in hard copy. It was reviewed and approved at the September 26, 2024 Board of Directors meeting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c During Board of Directors meetings and Staff meetings, Board and Staff members are informed of the conflict of interest policy and are asked to exclude themselves from votes and decisions that would create a conflict of interest. Additionally, all Board and Staff members sign an annual letter that lists any known conflicts of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The LWPC Board of Directors uses the bi-annual Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Salary Survey to evaluated compensation for all positions by comparing salary rates with similar sized agencies in the local area with similar skill/education credentials.
