Numerous delays occurred because as a new POF Private Operating Foundation unfamiliar with the 990-PF requirement details, in our intention to file with the utmost of care and zero risk of any error, we repeatedly arranged for assistance with the 990-PF. The first assisting person rescheduled repeatedly, and each time the new schedule was set and then cancelled. Finally a new assistor at HR Block was located and eventually contacted. Most HR Block Preparers are not familiar with POFs nor the 990-PF. This new preparer also repeatedly rescheduled. These unexpected, unfortunate events occurred even with persistence on our part. Due to zero revenue for 2023 during our restructuring of the organization, we did not substitute for a more costly, more immediate solution. Note, the Founder spent her personal money on the supplies given to the homeless, these expenses did not run through the org. Founder simply paid from her pocket.
