However, it was our first year as an organization, and were encouraged by others that we did fairly well. We plan to work hard and raise more in 2024 so we can do more for the youth. 214 0 1582 At Rebecca's Daughters, one of our primary missions is to enlighten and foster vision among the adolescents in our community. We successfully conducted a vision-building workshop for a group of 10 teenagers. Each participant was able to pinpoint areas in their lives that required nourishment and received resources to nurture these areas. They also set goals for the year 2024 and created vision boards to keep their objectives in focus. Moreover, they made new friends, engaged in games, and won prizes. 500 0 1368 One of our foremost missions at Rebecca's Daughters is the commitment to giving back to the community. We enabled high school and college students to participate in a drawing for a $250 scholarship to support their graduation expenses. We successfully awarded two high school students with $250 each. Our aspiration for 2024 is to increase the amount we can give away. 76 0 868 Rebecca's Daughters was able to fund the repair of a college student's headlights and high beams, which she had been without during the Christmas break due to financial constraints. For each program described, I simply subtracted the program's expense from the annual total. Form 990, Part III (Cont. 3) For each program, we broke down the expenses and deduced from our total revenue of of$1602,17 that we raised through fundraising for 2023. Form 990, Part III, Line 3 We have posted the details of the expenses for the programs, workshops, and scholarships that we proudly conducted in 2023. These have also been deducted from our total revenue, as indicated in each program's listing. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2 A couple of the board members are related Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b This is is the organization's first year filling, form 990 will be shared and explained after filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 We are a fairly new organization, so the board has agreed that since the Executive Director currently handles all of the administrative work and grant writing, she will receive 10% of any grants received. However, we have not secured any grants as of yet. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 2023 was Rebecca's Daughters' first year of operation. We have worked hard and are still working diligently to get all of our policies in order. We have many important policies in practice. We are functioning respectfully and professionally as a team towards our mission. Form 990, Part IX, Line 24e Line 24e is our total expenses for all programs for the year 2023. A reasonable cause for late filing is that this is my first year managing the organization and, while trying to get everything in order, I forgot about the tax documents that needed to be filed. I hope the IRS can show leniency, as Rebecca's Daughters do not have any funding to pay penalties. We would prefer to use our resources to continue assisting youth who need our services.
