First, $1,000 came from community member donations to the program. Second, CACCWA received $2,000 from Boeing matching donation funds for the scholarship program. These funds were added to prior year's collections and as part of its on-going community scholarship program, CACCWA provided scholarships to 7 highschool ($9,500) students and 1 university ($1,000) level student. Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 CACCWA issues these scholarships in the form of checks paid directly to the recipients. Additionally, each recipient meets with CACCWA vounteer mentors to ensure the funds are properly used during the course of US higher education studies. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b CACCWA follows the following review process for Form 990 filings: 1) Staff prepares a draft 2) The Finance Committee reviews and submits to the Executive Committee for review and approval 3) Once all necessary changes and approvals are made, then the Form is filled with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c All board members and employees are required to review and acknowledge CACCWA's Conflict of Interest Statement annually. Statements can be signed upon request, at board meetings, or at an annual event. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Not applicable for tax year 2021 as there are no compensations paid to any board member. CACCWA did not employ any employees in 2021. Form 990, Part IX, Line 11g Payments were made from grants for services in carrying out information distribution. They consists of: $5,573 in Contract Services for EEC and $18,579 in Contract Services for Commerce (SBRN). CACCWA was significantly impacted by COVID-19 during this tax filing year, which resulted in the non-filing of the 2021 tax return. It wasn't until a series of staffing changes and new leadership that CACCWA discovered the lapse of filing and is rectifying it now.
