Part VI, Line 6 BCBCC is a dues-based membership organization. Its members pay dues annually using a tiered system based on the size of their organization. Members elected the Board of Directors annually. Part VI, Line 7a Members elected board members annually. Part VI, Line 7b Yes changes to the Bylaws. Part VI, Line 11a Preparer Denise Bullitt a paid organizational consultant reviewed Form 990 and 990T with the current Executive Director Marilyn Harris Board Chair James Simons Secretary Donellia Childs and Treasurer Viola Smalls before submission since the former board members were not available and are no longer serving. An electronic copy of the draft was emailed to the entire board entire Board of Directors and the former board chair Benard McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre also spoke to Ms. Bullitt by phone. Part VI, Line 12c Board of Directors meet monthly and handle all matters reported. Executive committee visit with employees monthly and are available to hear concerns. Part VI, Line 19 BCBCC is required to file copies of its tax returns with all federal agencies with which it does business including the USDA SBA and CDFI. There have been no private requests for our information. We are also aware that once filed our tax returns are available to the public via GuideStar and other such platforms. Part XII, Line 3b Prior to the administrative changes that took place in June 2023 Mr. Larry Holman did not initiate nor arrange the completion of the 2022 audit or filing of this tax return as would have been customary. Additionally the organization's Form 990 for 2020 was also under audit by the IRS. The current administration focused first on resolving matters with the IRS for the 2020 return. Once that was resolved in April 2024 the focus was turned to completing the 2022 audit and tax return. Time was also taken to engage a new accountant to manage the organization's accounting tasks and a new audit firm to complete both the 2022 and 2023 audits. The 2022 audit has commenced but we did not want to delay any longer the filing of this return.
